About Us
Our Streets PDX was formed in June 2020 to support the local community while promoting the ideals and goals of the Black Lives Matters movement through community events, education and resource provision.

Mission Statement
Our Streets seeks to provide a voice and strength to our community in a way that addresses the ever-changing dynamic of our society. The fluidity of our approach allows us to address numerous aspects of the community such as environmental injustice, houselessness, food insecurity, civilian oppression and youth engagement in a way that is unique to our goal of creating a well-rounded populace.
Our Team
Founded by Mitchell “Buchi” Asemota and Mikah Takashige, we have a staff of over 30 paid employees. From leadership to cooks to drivers, our crew represents the diverse Portland community.
